When I shared my thoughts with my friends to Start a Youtube Channel and Blog in 2021, I was kind of demotivated and got a response that YouTube is only for young folks and a family man cannot make a cut.

Why Should I open a Youtube channel or blog?
My answer is – no compulsion that you have to open a Blog or channel… but if you are reading this blog which means you have some aspirations or some thoughts back of your mind that is triggering to have your own blog or channel to share your skills, experience, stories, or even just talk/write.
The second part of the concern is we can chat or talk it out. Yes… no doubt and that should continue more and more people’s touch. We are losing human touch and becoming more virtual / machine-dependent. But unfortunately, the current pandemic situation is now allowing us to mingle with friends like we used to do earlier, to have a free chat over a beer in a pub or so.. therefore life now becomes more virtual and I believe the trend will continue and grow.
I will give my example… I do have a lot of friends from the community who used to jam during weekends over beers and discuss all possible problems the world is facing (Never foreseen Corona as an issue). But since the last 8-9 months all are gone… we now become more virtual and even contacting each other over the phone or WhatsApp. All are extra careful.
I basically love to talk to people and when this curb came enforcing to go virtual, I thought of go virtual to the fullest…by starting a youtube channel or blog in 2020.

Well…. let’s address the second concern… I am a finance person and I agree I have little knowledge in tech… but I can assure you that opening a blog or youtube channel does not need any special technical skills… if you do WhatsApp, shoot videos using a phone/camera that’s more than enough to open a youtube channel or blog.
I am going to have a series on how to open a blog or youtube channel if this blog is a success. I will show you that you need no special skills and using your phone only you can do everything… not even a PC required… So, don’t think this is a limitation.

Not True… you can invest as little time as you want to have these channels up and running. I would say a similar amount of time which you used to spend chit-chatting with your friends. You can also use your Me Time. Its a great engagement and motivating tool to reach out to your virtual unknown audience.

No one is asking to compromise family time. Just use your free time or make free time from your unwanted worklist. Just an example, I wrote this entire blog in 4 days investing 30Min – 45 Mins each day. Is it difficult to spare 30 Mins? You can use your mobile to write and later publish.
If you want to share your experience, skills, talent, or anything for that matter with your friends then just use your Me Time to get this up and running.
I agree, youtube channel may be difficult with kids around but still, you can manage… But I don’t think any such restrictions for blog writing.
